Plans and Billing
IdeaBadger offers a free plan and a Pro plan. Both let you capture and score unlimited ideas, but Pro unlocks additional features for serious idea hunters.
Free plan
The free plan includes:
- Up to 10 active ideas at one time
- Full scoring with Joy-Ease-Opportunity
- Status tracking (Spark → Released)
- Archiving and restoring ideas
- Data export
This is enough for most casual users to capture and compare their project ideas.
Pro plan
Pro unlocks:
- Unlimited active ideas - No cap on how many ideas you can track
- Custom scoring weights - Adjust how Joy, Ease, and Opportunity combine
- Priority support - Get help faster when you need it
Pro is billed monthly or annually (save with annual billing). See the pricing page for current rates.
Upgrading to Pro
- Click Upgrade to Pro in the navigation or on your account page
- Choose monthly or annual billing
- Complete payment through Stripe (we don't store card details)
- Pro features are available immediately
Managing your subscription
Once subscribed, you can manage your subscription through the Stripe billing portal:
- Update your payment method
- View billing history and invoices
- Switch between monthly and annual billing
- Cancel your subscription
Access the billing portal from your account page by clicking Manage subscription.
Cancelling Pro
If you cancel Pro:
- Your subscription continues until the end of the current billing period
- You keep access to Pro features until then
- After that, you return to the free plan
- If you have more than 10 active ideas, they're preserved but you'll need to archive some before adding new ones
- Custom scoring weights reset to defaults
You can re-subscribe any time to get Pro features back.
